On 20th September 2022 representatives from Jubaland Non State Actors (JUNSAA) had a with UN special envoy to Somalia and other UN organization in Kismayo discussing the role of the Non-State Actors on social reconciliation, human rights, good governance and policy change.
The SRG delegates acknowledged the multiple roles that the non state actors are playing from social reconciliation, human rights and advocacy for policy change, and hold accountable for government institutions.
The SRG delegates also underlined the importance of the Non- State Actors to be one the leading stakeholders ‘in district council formation and offer alternative policies for the state government.
UNDP, UNFPA and all other UN organizations to remain supportive to the works of the Non- State Actors and improve their cooperation with the civil society platform.
